Every Tuesday for the last 5 years an eclectic bunch of women have met at Puke Ariki Library in New Plymouth. Called "Migrant Women Meet", this group is open to any woman who is new to Taranaki, regardless of age, race, beliefs, or reasons for being here. The support and friendship this group provides has been a lifeline for many as they start their new life in this wonderful province.

With the temporary closing of the library, this weekly broadcast was a great way for the women to stay in touch, and to keep sharing and laughing together, when circumstances are keeping them apart.

Your hosts are Cheryl Nomvula Mudawarima and Michelle Bent

Access Radio Taranaki was delighted to help Migrant Women Meet continue their support for one another in this special way.

This radio show continues post-lockdown under the name "Making Yourself at Home", with new hosts, Kadisha and Alina.
